Founded in 1811, Thornton Academy celebrated the 200th anniversary of its founding in 2011; it is one of the nation’s oldest independent schools and one of the oldest public-private partnerships in the country. Thornton Academy serves students in grades 6-12 from southern Maine towns, other U.S. states, and over 20 other countries.

A big thanks to Craig Cote '86, Chris Rowe '94, and the team at Pizza By Alex for a pair of spring fundraisers to support Thornton. In the first, a portion of sales benefitted the Student Assistance Fund, which provides students in need with essential items, such as reading glasses, winter clothing, boots, athletic equipment, and more. The second fundraiser supported the TA Middle School.

Three members of the Photography Club—Claire Cochrane ’27, Avisha Mondak ’27, and Quinn Fisher ’27—each made contact sheets in the darkroom today! A great time was had by all.
