Here we go. Spring Back Kat in the 9th race today at Sam Houston Race Park. First time on the turf. He has crystal clear eyes today and is ready. Now I wish I was, very nervous.

Spring Back Kat had an awesome run today at LAD. His start was strong and fast, lead the pack in first position until the last furlong and tired ending up in 4th place. For me this was a huge improvement on Kat. He behaved throughout every step of preparation and gave it his all. Great job by jockey Rico and thanks to Mario Tavor for coming out and the support. Great day all around and looking forward to the next race.

Well, Kat has left the track. Literally! Race 8 had two jockeys fall off the mount, one being SBK. Without a rider he figured it was a good time to head back to the barn and catch the replays to find out where his rider took off to. Jockey is fine and stopped by to check on him plus go over video. Kat is fine even after jumping the fence and after giving him a good walk and cooling off was in good enough spirits to play on the walker.

Spring Back Kat is entered to run Sat. 24th at Louisiana Downs in race 3 with John Jude riding. Will be an exciting weekend!!
