In this clip, I served on a national panel at the 3rd Annual Heal Collaborative Lung Cancer Summit where I shared the importance of access to care and its importance when it comes to saving lives. This was my fourth time to be invited by NBCSL to participate on a national panel and fifth time overall.

Today we lost an icon.
A giant. A drum major for justice.
My father had the honor of meeting him and years later, during my first quorum break, so did I. That moment meant more than I can fully express.
I wish I could tell him, “Don’t you worry. We’ll keep hope alive.”
Because of him, I know that I am somebody.
Rest well, Reverend. Your voice echoes on.
