Austringer Creations

We're building boats this spring, a replica of a 1939 Chris Craft Barrel Back from Glen-L plans, a couple strip canoes and kayaks and restoring a early '50's model Lyman 15' Rear Steer runabout. Last week Josh and I pulled it out of a barn where it has spent the last thirty years of its life, today I started cleaning it up to see what needs to be addressed with the hull. Amazing what difference a little cleaning can acomplish.

Well, I finally have broken ground on the new A.C. shop, much larger than what I've been using. It'll allow me to expand back into building cabinets and furniture as well as wood strip canoes and the replica Chris Craft mahogany runabout I've wanted to do for years. I started lofting the frames from the plans I ordered from Glen-L last year and have a lot of the wood milled and dried for the frame already.
