Our annual Juneteenth worship service was amazing! Thank you to Relevant Church and to Cody Dean for his inspiring sermon. Relevant’s liturgical dance team is always a favorite component of this service, and their artistry was a joy to watch.

The old hymn says, “His Eye Is on the Sparrow,” and yours can be, too! Well, maybe not the bird itself, but you can see the Rome First staff members who spent more than two hours trying to safely capture a small bird that got into the church nursery today.

Their antics in trying to catch the bird saw them using oversized badminton racquets, a soccer net, blankets, pillowcases, brooms, dustpans, and trash cans before they finally caught the wily avian and released it into the courtyard.

What you can’t hear is the trio singing hymns like “All Creatures Great and Small“ as well as Disney classics to try and coax their feathered friend outside.
