Our feathered employees are slowing down on their laying due to the heat, so that means we will have low stock of eggs!

I have seen so many posts about broody hens. I’m just glad everyone else is on the broody bus as well! I really feel hens would have a “Broody Hens Anonymous” if they could.

“It’s been exactly 0 days since I have screamed at someone for coming anywhere close to me. I puff up like a bowling ball to any other coop mates just to make my presence known. The human said she was done with chicks this year but I have decided otherwise, I have even accepted a feed scoop into my clutch. Oh I also chose to cause all this chaos in everyone else’s favorite nesting box.”

Seriously though, her nick name is Bully Betty because she’s mean.

Happy Tuesday! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us this last weekend! It means the world to us! This weekend coming up (6/12-6/14) we have decided to close so we can take a short break and recharge. We will be back open (6/19-6/21) to have homemade goods back out for you! Thank you for your understanding and we can’t wait to see you soon!

It’s nice weather to sit outside and sip on coffee, it’s a slow easy rain with the birds chirping. Peaceful to us!

The baked goods we have left are: cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, jalapeno & cheddar bagels and peanut butter cookies. As always we have a small variety of jams and jellies!

Its Friday! End of the work week for most! We have goodies out for you! The last couple weekends I’ve been sold out of cinnamon rolls by Saturday afternoon, so this week I baked extra to hopefully have some for everyone! Dinner rolls will be out by noon. Jalapeno and cheddar bagels will be out tomorrow! We can’t wait to see you!

Are you having a bad hair day? At least you can fix it, these guys however are stuck with their funny hairdos! I love different characteristics that each chickens have, but the little toupées and beards chickens get are my favorite. I love a hen with a good fluffy face.

The roosters are crowing, dogs are barking and it’s already humid warm (thanks Missouri). We are open! Bagels, cookies, eggs, jams/jellies!
