⚡️Tracking Thunderstorms…

➡️ Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, Fayetteville… heaviest morning to late morning.

➡️ Fort Smith, Van Buren, Greenwood, Clarksville… strongest early afternoon. These have a higher severe risk but still low for May.

Wind damage and frequent lightning are the two main weather hazards.

⚠️ Severe Risk ⚠️

**The overall risk of severe weather is lower-end for Arkansas**

For May, it’s kind of weird.

Main severe weather risk is wind, it’s somewhat elevated today and if we get warnings, that’s why.

⚡️Lightning will be intense with some of the thunderstorms but the risk of tornadoes is very low and the large hail risk minimal.

**Scattered storms are moving across the Ozarks. Expect storms in Arkansas to continue into the midmorning hours**

- Risk of severe is minimal with this, a slightly higher severe risk exists later this afternoon.

- Expect frequent waves of rain for the next several days.

- Cooler weather on Wednesday with highs only near 70°.

The weather starts off with thunderstorms ongoing during the day on Monday. These storms will primarily pose a small hail risk.

Bigger storms develop in Kansas this afternoon and evening.

Eventually a large area of rain will push south with more storms spreading into Arkansas on Tuesday.

The heaviest rain for the Ozarks appears to be Tuesday night.

Rain chances continue for much of this week.

Kinda cool weather for this time of year with highs only near 70°!

**An outbreak of severe storms is likely in Kansas on Monday**

This system shifts east into Tuesday with rain and storm chances spreading into Oklahoma, Arkansas & Missouri.

The most widespread rain will be Tuesday night.

Lingering rain will be a factor for the rest of the week with highs below normal and near 70°.
