Thanks to Robert Heidt, PRIDE Industries and all the employers at the Sacramento Metro Chamber who came together to share how last year’s tax law is affecting local businesses. The stories we heard were compelling examples of how this successful policy has directly contributed to increased investment, expanding business and more hiring right here in Sacramento. Supporting our small businesses and creating family-sustaining jobs will always be a top priority as long as I’m in office.

On Monday, June 15, Congressman Kevin Kiley met with business leaders from Placer and Sacramento counties, including the leaders from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce , Sacramento Metro Chamber, and the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce, for a legislative update to the business community, hosted at PRIDE Industries' Roseville, CA headquarters. Imel Janneings, Vice President, Western Region at U.S. Chamber of Commerce, kicked off the proceedings f followed by the congressman. Attendees from PRIDE Industries included VP of Manufacturing and Logistics Tony Lopez, Director of Customer Experience Karen Alvord, and Director of PR Kat Maudru.

Recently, I was invited to tour the Head Start program for KidZ Community in Roseville. It was a wonderful afternoon meeting and spending time with these young students and their parents.

This organization fosters a learning environment that encourages curiosity, reflection, and family engagement.

As Chairman of the Elementary Education Subcommittee, I relish the chance to visit classrooms and hear directly from students and teachers on how we can support their work.
