Learning all about our fine feathered friends from their eggs to their nests and how to protect the precious cargo! We made contraptions purely out of things we could find in nature to see if our chicken eggs could withstand the fall. These creative kiddos put their heads together to create cushioned landing gear and did quite well making it safely back to the ground!!! Way to go kiddos!!!

🐦🪶This week's focus was on the incredible journeys of our local birds! Engaging in group discussion on migration patterns, followed by a quick hike to spot our feathered travelers, ending with free time to craft and/or socialize.

We are gearing up for our Kids' Creative Market at Flower Fest on May 9th and I am SO excited about it!

Vendor spots are open for kids of all ages and I want to see what your kid is already making!

Bracelets? Paintings? Baked goods? Crochet? 3D printed things? Nature crafts?

Did you know there are ecosystems thriving in your own backyard? This week Rockford Homeschoolers' Hub explored the incredible variety of ecosystems around the world and then stepped outside to appreciate the one right outside our door, rain and all! ☔
