Absolute Fire Protection was honored by the State of Illinois’ Workforce Connection with the Regions Business Leadership Award for expanding opportunities and apprenticeships in the region. The award was signed by Governor J. B. Pritzker and presented by Jessica Story, Associate Director of Workforce Development and Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara. John Danis accepted the award for Absolute Fire Protection.

Absolute Fire Protection is an industry leader in fire protection and prevention services in Northern Illinois with strong ties to the community.

Absolute Fire Protection worked with The Workforce Connection to finalize candidates for the Fire Sprinkler Apprenticeship program. The partners worked together and spent time understanding Absolute’s needs and goals to ensure the program was built out effectively and requirements were equitable and appropriate for the roles. We worked together on the selection process, which was valuable because we were able to ensure we had the right candidates for the apprenticeships.
We are also working to add additional classes with Absolute Fire Protection to continue to grow the team’s capacity and provide more opportunities to individuals in the community. We are grateful for the vision and leadership of Absolute Fire Protection to create this apprenticeship model to build talent and opportunity in the region.

Absolute Fire Protection was a proud sponsor of the Mercyhealth Development Foundation’s charity golf outing held at the beautiful Beloit Club, Beloit, WI.

Great sunny day for Absolute’s foursome; Shane, Jaymes, Erik and Phillip.

The event helped to provide more than $20,000 in scholarships to be given to emergency medical services students.
