What a weekend! We got to celebrate my parent’s 50th golden wedding anniversary with dear family and friends 🎉💝 some of whom travelled from the UK and the States!! Feeling honoured and grateful to witness my parents reaching this wonderful milestone 👏🏻 Huge props to my sister Steph for doing 99.9% of the party planning while I finish up my program at Eastman! 🙏🏻🥹🙏🏻

Guitarist Harley Card and bassist Michael Herring wrote this piece as a surprise: an “unsolicited commission” for me to sing. I felt incredibly honoured to receive such a gift from two prolific songwriters (and good friends), and when I first read the lyrics, I got chills. The words and themes resonated deeply right away.

We recorded it at Trail Mix Studios, Michael’s home studio in Toronto, and it grew into something we’re truly proud of: a blend of jazz, folk, and Latin influences, woven around themes of vulnerability, connection, and discovering your artistic voice. We hope you enjoy! 🙏🏻
