Last week, we had the privilege of attending the Torch Run as it made its way to Rochester in support of the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games!
It was a gorgeous day to be outside to cheer on the runners carrying the Flame of Hope through our community. We were honored to spend the day in community to show our support for the athletes and everyone involved in making this event possible.
It is such a tremendous honor for Minnesota to host the Special Olympics USA Games for the first time since the 1990s. The Games continue through June 26, and if you have the opportunity to visit the Twin Cities to attend any of the events, we highly encourage you to do so! Attending the Games is a chance to witness high-level competition and be part of an event that brings people together from every corner of the country.

Help us in congratulating Linda Moen for winning the Lowry Award! 🌟
Linda earned this award because of the significant growth she has made in her confidence, workplace skills, and independence. She has learned several different jobs, including tasks that require completing five or six components, and she is always willing to give something new a try. Linda takes pride in her work, has excellent attendance, and stays focused throughout the day, saving visits with friends for break time. She enjoys sharing her coloring pages with friends each day and brings positivity to those around her. Linda continues to show a strong commitment to learning, growth, and doing her best every day.
Way to go, Linda!

to 1985 when ABC athletes hit the track to show their sportsmanship at the Special Olympics track & field event in Rochester!
As we look back on these moments, we're also looking ahead to an exciting milestone: This weekend marks the opening of the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games right here in Minnesota!
Held just once every four years, the USA Games will bring together 3,000 athletes, 1,500 coaches, 10,000 volunteers, and 75,000 fans from all 50 states. Through the power of sports and inclusion, the Games inspire change, build connections, and celebrate the achievements of athletes from across the country.
It's a tremendous honor for Minnesota to host this event. If you have the opportunity to attend any part of the Games, don't miss it—it's truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
