hello ¨̮ i cant believe it’s been over a year since i posted on this acc. been too caught up with other passion projects and college since covid.

but here are some photos i took before i left hong kong when i was 16. i edited them again to kind of better capture how these pictures make me feel. looking back at all the photos i used to take on my adventures with friends, made me so nostalgic. not only for home (a whole other story) but also for that pure passion i had for capturing memories.

i think i somewhat lost this pure passion i had for photography in the midst of studying photography in school with my assignments, projects, studio equipment, etc. with so much pressure and impostor syndrome that i felt among other students and what i put on myself, photography sometimes felt more stressful than my creative outlet. for this, i definitely feel like i’ve neglected my passion for photography.

but i recently watched a film about christoph niemann for my copywriting class and it was incredibly inspiring and encouraging. it’s important to remember that starting anything at all is the first step to the creative process and experiencing the art. i don’t need to wait for my inspiration to spike and dwell in that space where i feel stuck. he let his creativity flow in the most simple places and i hope to take this outlook of practicing creativity and flow from now on. i cant wait to explore and learn more this year!
