During a recent two-day training and development session in Corning, NY, our Training + Development team came together to reflect on individual purpose, align on a shared department mission, and celebrate the meaningful progress we’ve made so far this year. From shaping onboarding initiatives to planning for the future, these conversations are helping us build a stronger, more intentional approach to supporting our employees.

Miguel’s recent five-star review is a wonderful example of what we strive for across all of our communities. At Conifer, our mission is to create welcoming and well-cared-for places that residents are proud to call home. We know that in any community, things can arise that are outside of anyone’s control, but what matters most is how we show up for our residents when they do. Our teams are committed to responding with care, patience, and professionalism, taking the time to listen, answer questions, and ensure residents feel supported. Moments like this remind us that when we lead with service and genuine care, we help turn everyday interactions into meaningful experiences for the people who call our communities home.

This month, we’re excited to highlight Matt Weber, IT Systems Administrator.

Behind the scenes, our IT team plays a critical role in keeping Conifer running smoothly, and Matt is a key part of that effort. In his role, he helps monitor and maintain networks across our communities, ensuring everything operates efficiently and securely. From developing workflows that streamline everyday processes to managing system configurations for laptops, tablets, and other devices, Matt’s work supports teams across the entire organization.

Matt is a great example of growing with Conifer. Since joining Conifer in 2023 as an intern, Matt has quickly made a meaningful impact through his hard work, initiative, and willingness to take on new challenges. Since becoming a full-time employee in 2024, his contributions have helped strengthen our systems and improve how we operate day-to-day.
