With the price of electricity so low, there wasn't a lot of money available to waste on unnecessary stuff. This is where we honed our skills, only doing what was necessary, and cutting out things that just didn't need to be done. As Engineers, the founders of XCEED were chosen to lead engineering for the Fukushima FLEX project. The average spend on this was expected to be around $50M per nuclear plant. We worked with project management and site management to help reduce the cost of the project by about $8.8M.
