In February 1956, the Rochester Pastoral Conference conducted a spot canvas of Suburban Heights and following the survey recommended to the Mission Board of the Eastern District, Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod, that they call a full time Pastor for a new Lutheran Church in the area.
