My name is Kari and I am a self-taught calligrapher based in Rochester New York. I have always loved having neat handwriting, so calligraphy became a natural hobby! All my creations are tailored to the unique personality of YOUR big event, whether that be a wedding, bridal shower, baby shower, or just a fancy party! Pointed pen calligraphy is not an easy thing to just pick up and learn in two hours but just LOOK AT HOW WELL THEY DID (yes I’m shouting because that’s how happy it makes me)

Tuesday Timelapse!⠀

I find it hard to balance between posting time lapse videos and real time videos, mostly because sometimes in the real time videos, the minute time restraint is not enough to really demonstrate anything!⠀

Time lapses are great to show you the process and what goes into writing, but it definitely makes it seem like writing in calligraphy is a speedy thing. ⠀

Trust me - it’s not! The slower you write, the more you will be able to concentrate on your letterforms and getting your transitions between upstrokes and downstrokes super smooth 👌🏻⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We made it! Last letter of the alphabet is finally here and it’s a doozy!⠀

Just kidding about the doozy part, but I will admit that I still haven’t found the perfect way to write a z - the typical script way just looks too much like a y to me!⠀
