Receiving his first achievement stripe - green for language skills. Sai can count to 30, knows the names of many body parts and useful words like right and left - all in Japanese. We only expect a white belt to be able to count to 10. Quite an achievement, Sai!

Here Kinjo Takashi in Okinawa is observing tonkua kata performed by students in Rochester, Minnesota. Twice-monthly Zoom seminars with Kinjo Kaicho have provided on-going instruction as covid-19 continues to make air travel between the US and Okinawa risky.
