🦋 Butterfly Release 🦋

You might remember following along with our monarch butterfly journey from eggs to butterflies, and yesterday we finally reached release day. Time really flew by as we gathered outside to say goodbye and watch them head out into the wild.

Activities like this support brain injury survivors by encouraging attention, sequencing, patience, and sensory engagement, while also creating shared, meaningful experiences.

Yesterday, we joined together again for another nutrition group with Alyssa from ! This time, participants explored a variety of fresh herbs, passing a sample around to smell and learn about before using them in a delicious salad made with fruits, vegetables, nuts, and a simple homemade dressing. 🌿 🥗

Learning how to prepare healthy, affordable meals is an important skill for brain injury survivors. Good nutrition can support overall health, energy levels, and brain function, while simple, budget-friendly recipes help make healthy eating more accessible and sustainable at home!

Last week, participants visited the G.R.O.W.S farm to continue learning about planting, agricultural care, and the work that goes into maintaining a growing garden. From hands-on planting to learning how to care for crops, the group had another great day expanding their gardening knowledge! 🪏 🪴

Programs like this can help brain injury survivors build life skills, confidence, fine motor skills, and independence while spending time outdoors in a supportive and engaging environment.
