Since that time, with the help of several extremely knowledgeable Boer goat experts and breeders, the progress has been unmistakable. At the 2015 Florida State Fair, we had two does that were born at the farm take First and Second in the Yearling Doe Class (12 to 16 months) and one going on to win Reserve Grand Champion. This reinforced our belief in what could be accomplished with a quality breeding and management program.

With the acquisition of the buck Easy Upgrade in March 2015 at The Other Sale, Alafia Ridge Farms has positioned itself as a breeder of high-quality Boer goats. We also acquired several premiers does of impeccable bloodlines.

As we progress, we will be posting the sale of some of our buck and doe kids, as well as a few select mature, does. The proverbial saying “You can’t keep them all!” is so true. As we hate to see them leave as each and every one has been part of the family, we know they will be going to good homes, or they don’t go. We have already sold all of our buck and doe kids from the 2018 kidding. We will begin breeding again this Fall.

We have various shelters in the pastures, such as our Key West theme shown, to ensure their safety and comfort during inclement weather.
