Nerdy Adventures

Back in 2023 I created Nerdy Adventures to share my love for all things nerdy and cool. Due to trauma in my teenage years, I never truly felt like I was able to enjoy those times. I held on to that trauma and finally after I retired from the Air Force back in 2015, I was able to breathe and take the time to heal with the help of friends and family. I started to do the awesome things I wished I could have done in my younger years and I noticed it helped me to bond better with my kids. Being a single Mom now for over 17 years has taught me so much about myself and how I wanted my kids to enjoy their teenage years. I now want to share that journey and help other struggling parents grow that bond with their kids through nerdy time.

Nerdy Adventures started with sharing our trips to the zoo, aquarium, and Walt Disney World but also our love of all things Marvel , Star Wars , and LEGO .
I am in the process of rebuilding and will now be including Universal Orlando Resort and Pokémon. This weekend Emmalyn and I are headed to Universal and I am so excited to share that world with her. It is also Mardi Gras time there so I'm looking forward to lots of food and fun. If you want to learn more or have suggestions on what you want to see, please let me know.

For the past few years, I allowed myself to give my light and my energy to others who didn't deserve it or they abused it. I am now in the process of healing and forgiving myself for the person I became. I have been going within and healing that hurt little girl who did whatever it took to get love. I know I deserve to be loved for who I am not for what I can do for others. Shedding those toxic people had been difficult but I know that I am worthy of so much more. ✨❤️✨❤️
