to make one for her little girl. I had a very close friend ask me to make her 4 flower girl tutu dresses for her daughter's wedding as well. I have always loved to sew costumes for my oldest daughter (now 7 yrs old) because I didn't like how generic the in store costumes look to me. I like to be as close to the "real" character as possible, so I started making my daughters' costumes for the last 7 years (though I don't sell those costumes). I figured since I love sewing for each of them and seeing them in the items I create, I would sew and sell too. Every item I make is handmade so no two are exactly alike. I am always learning about fabric, new patterns and designs. We love to vacation and both of my daughters are in dance and tumbling so this helps out with those things. My items also "Meet CPSC Safety Regulations". I am glad that I could share a little bit of my WHY and story of how Storey Girl Designs came to be.
