On January 21, 2025 just before 5pm, Riverside City Fire Department and CalFire RRU both received calls of a possible vegetation fire in the river bottom area between Jurupa and the Animal Control Building. Riverside City units were first on scene and observed a medium sized vegetation fire, with a moderate rate of spread in the county area closer to the Animal Control Building and moved resources that direction.

At about 8pm the fire fight was still on and the fire is at 38 acres, with night dropping helicopter assisting. Hand crews dozers.

Airport Fire Day 2, time filmed and pictures between 2pm and 6pm on September 10th. Such a surreal event for this area. Glad I was able to capture some of these moments.
