First Reading:
My word shall not return to me void, but shall do my will, achieving the end for which I sent it. (Is 55:11)

Psalm:
The seed that falls on good ground will yield a fruitful harvest. (Ps 65)

Second Reading:
I consider that the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared with the glory to be revealed for us. (Rom 8:18)

Gospel:
Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. (Mt 13:17)

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Saints Peter & Paul. Through the intercession of these great saints, may we too preach the Gospel of Christ to the very end no matter the cost. St. Peter and St. Paul, pray for us.
