Milo lives in a rotting arcology, a lab rat abandoned by society. The massive steel and concrete building is barely livable for the thousands of people forced to live there. Only Milo keeps things running. He spends his days repairing the machinery that keeps the habitat livable and tinkering with the prosthetics that help his twisted body move about through the small tunnels and air shafts that are his world. He's as much a piece of discarded machinery as the equipment he keeps running. An escaped lab experiment hiding, he hacks corporations and causes trouble for the people invading his world.

When he steals an experimental game pod, he gains access to another world that hides even more secrets. The other players in the game are heroes, who stay in the light and go on adventures. Milo wants to know what's in the tunnels beneath the world. He finds terrifying creatures and ancient mysteries left by races that delved deep and stayed below. The hidden secrets of the world are buried deep...
