Well, your rights have officially been infringed. This bill is so bad, the Washington State Patrol was actually unwilling to go testify in favor of the bill, even though they were requested multiple times. Current estimates from the DOR is the bill will cost $24 million in this biennium. This will require at least 30 troopers across the state, at a time when we are short staffed by over 100 troopers, and there is a hiring freeze because we are so over budget! Congratulations to all of you who willingly violated the US and Washington Constitution.

The governor has scheduled the signing of HB1163. We don’t know if it will be signed into law, or vetoed. However, I’ll give you 3 guesses as to which way it’s gonna go.
