At Animalance, love shows up... and we mean that in every direction. Lately, I’ve been noticing the people inside these hospitals who truly live that out. Not just in how they support us, but in how they show up for their clients. The ones who go beyond what’s expected, who pay attention, who recognize what a family really needs and help them get there.
And we see it.
So in those moments, we choose to recognize it.
Intentionally, wholeheartedly, and with so much heart.
When we come across it, we’ll honor it in a way that feels just as meaningful. Because love shows up in a lot of ways. And some of it deserves to be named.

We made our way from Virginia Veterinary Centers Fredericksburg to Virginia Veterinary Centers Short Pump so this sweet girl could continue receiving the care she needed after developing complications from congestive heart failure.

She settled into her oxygen chamber and did absolutely beautifully during the hour long trip. She was calm, comfortable, and just as sweet as could be the entire way. ❤️
A huge thank you to the teams at VVC Fredericksburg and VVC Short Pump for working together so seamlessly for this perfect lil girl ❤️

Thank you to the team at Hope Animal Hospital for welcoming Luna with open arms and taking such great care of her. Thank you for everything you do for the pets and families of the Fredericksburg community. ❤️

I don’t think Dallas got the memo that she was supposed to be the only patient. 😅 She was on her way to the ER, and before long, Kiah had started showing signs too. Thankfully, both girls received the care they needed for HGE and are doing so much better!

A huge thank you to the team at VRCC for taking such great care of these perfect girls❤️

One minute, I thought I was helping my cat recover from a fight. The next, I was facing an emergency none of us saw coming. Blaze had been attacked by another cat, and when he started acting like he didn’t feel well, an abscess seemed like the obvious answer. As it turns out, Blaze had other plans.

The team at Cary Street VH squeezed him into their already busy schedule for what we thought would be an emergency appointment for an abscess. Instead, they discovered he was suffering from a urinary obstruction, a life threatening emergency that needed immediate intervention.

From there, Blaze was transferred to Partner Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center, where the emergency and critical care teams worked tirelessly to save him. They relieved his obstruction, managed the significant kidney damage that had developed, monitored him around the clock, and gave him the time and support he needed for his kidney values to normalize.

Once he was stable enough, Blaze transferred to UrgentPaws for surgery. Dr. Allred and the entire team performed a cystotomy to remove three bladder stones and helped him debut his new lion cut. 😆 They cared for him with incredible skill, compassion, and kindness every step of the way.

And WOW… the way people showed up for him. 💓 The updates. The reassurance. The kindness. The extra love when I couldn’t be there. The way every person who cared for him made me feel like Blaze mattered just as much to them as he does to me. ❤️ To every person at Cary Street, Partner, and UrgentPaws who played a role in Blaze’s care, thank you for treating my boy like he was your own.

My sweet baby boy is home tonight because a whole lot of people poured their hearts into helping him heal, and there simply aren’t enough thank yous in the world for that.

A huge thank you to Channel 8 and the New Leash on Life team for having me on and sharing the Animalance story!
I was definitely nervous (I promise I’m much more comfortable helping pets and their people than being on camera 😅), but I’m so grateful for the opportunity to talk about something that means so much to me❤️

I’m still a little speechless 🥺 A huge thank you to the team at Richmond Times-Dispatch for sharing the story of Animalance RVA and the families we have the privilege of helping every day. Animalance RVA started because there was a need in our community, and none of this would have been possible without the trust and support of so many people.

Thank you for taking the time to tell that story and help spread awareness about a service that so many families have come to rely on, thank you to every family, veterinary team, friend, supporter, and cheerleader who has trusted, encouraged, and believed in us. This belongs to all of you, too. ❤️

Love shows up. And Richmond has shown us so much love❤️
