One of our favorite horses will be relocating as her mama starts a new project in a new town 😭😭

Preference given to those willing to help feed horses when needed, will be compensated for the help!

$550/month: Feed/Hay/Shavings included. Will dispense supplements owner provides, will fly mask, blanket and fly spray at no additional cost but owner must provide the fly mask, blanket(s) and the fly spray. Light weight waterproof turnout blanket required during winter months. Horses are turned out half of the day on regular pasture and the other half is free choice round bale turnout. All turnout is co-ed group turnout depending on horse’s ability to cohabitate (brat pack versus golden girls). Horses are fed grain rations twice daily in separate stalls before being turned back out in their respective turnouts. They are stalled in inclement weather or when pasture conditions prove to be unsafe. Trailer parking available. Amenities include an arena approx 70x200’ that has outdoor lighting, a round pen, access to trails, wash rack and tack room.

Farrier visits every 5-6 weeks and can perform performance shoeing to basic trims. Mobile vet is regularly available every Thursday(subject to zoning changes).

We do not offer lessons or trail rides and do not have a trainer onsite. I am no longer in a position to accept first time horse owners. I am a toddler mom so clients will have to be patient as I accommodate the needs of my family and facility upkeep (the horses never suffer just the mowing/cleaning/dragging etc). All minors that ride MUST wear helmets.

This is a private low key boarding facility where the owners live onsite and are the main maintainers and operators of the facility. We are located just minutes off of Hwy 59 and FM 2218 in Richmond. Convenient to greater southwest Houston, Sugar Land, Richmond and Rosenberg.

Lovely quiet morning.

🚧 Update 🚧 Sunset Stables will be a little under construction for the next 6-9 months as the county leverages the 40’ easement on the east side of the property to bury two new drain pipes that will drain water from the new development across the street back into Dry Creek. Once completed, our fence will be replaced and everything will be under ground with the exception of two man holes that will be fenced around to ensure the safety and integrity of the affected paddocks. Due to this development, we will not be offering any new boarding availability until this resolves and we get our pastures back. If anything, the horses have become quite desensitized to construction and heavy equipment over the years!
