What could a six-pound Chihuahua possibly have done to deserve being thrown from a van in the middle of a nature park?
Nothing.
She did nothing to deserve the fear, the pain, or the betrayal she must have felt in that moment.
Fortunately, a young boy witnessed it happen. Without hesitation, he ran to her, scooped her up, and took her home to safety. Because of his kindness, this tiny girl is getting a second chance.
She is now safe with us at Happy Faces Pet Ranch. She is amazingly unshaken but has an obvious limp, so she’ll be seeing our veterinarian first thing Monday morning to determine the extent of her injuries and get the care she needs.
Please keep this little girl in your thoughts as we begin her journey to healing. And to the young boy who refused to look the other way—thank you for reminding us that even in the face of cruelty, there is still so much goodness in this world. ❤️🐾
