If you get a call, text, or message saying “Your Marketplace subsidy is coming to your house!” — 🚨 STOP and double-check before you share any information.

Scammers are contacting people across the U.S., pretending to be from the Health Insurance Marketplace or even a “government subsidy program.” Their goal?
➡️ To get your personal info
➡️ To switch your health plan without your consent
➡️ Or to change your Agent of Record (AOR) so they get paid instead of your real agent

Here’s what you should know:
✅ The Marketplace will never send cash or checks to your home.
✅ Subsidies (APTCs) are applied to reduce your monthly premium — they don’t come as “bonus money.”
✅ Never give out your Marketplace ID or social security number unless you’re speaking to your verified agent or HealthCare.gov directly.
✅ You can confirm your plan and agent anytime at HealthCare.gov

If you suspect someone changed your plan or agent without permission, call the Marketplace at 1-800-318-2596 immediately.
