Chickens need a high protein diet, especially during molting season when they are growing new feathers 🪶 If they are lacking enough protein kn their diet, you may start to notice broken or missing feathers on them. This means they are using each other’s feathers for a protein source. Provide them supplemental snacks like canned chicken or scrambled eggs to give them that extra protein boost. (I know it seems weird but they are omnivores and will eat it up!) 🐓
