I'm so excited for Hannah and Tyler as they start their season. Hannah is an amazing grower and I think you'll be able to find some beautiful plants at the stand.

It's a 🎉 big week 🎉 here on the farm! We got a lot of field planting done over the last several days and now we're gearing up for our first plant sales this coming weekend and our Farmstand Friday season opener!

With that, I'll be sharing details each day this week about Farmstand Fridays and/or our plant sales. First up is some general info about how our farmstand will operate this season:

📍 Our farmstand is located at the corner of King Road and County A in Sugar Camp. You can put the farm's address into your GPS (3673 County A), but note that it will take you to our home/farm driveway. The stand has its own driveway and parking area off of King Road. We ask that you DO NOT park in our farm/home driveway as we often have personal cars/deliveries coming in and out.

🥕 We'll be open most, if not all, Fridays starting this week (May 22) until sometime in October. Opening time will be 9am and we'll try to remain open until 1pm, unless we sell out. All notices about closures or early closing times will be posted to our social media, so it's a good idea to check our pages before you head over!

💚 It's likely that our first three Fridays will be mostly for plant sales. We do have some early crops to offer, like rhubarb, turnips, and bok choy, but please remain patient as we wait for bigger yields to start filling out the stand's produce shelves more.

A new chapter (and location!) for the farm — Moody Root Farm As we’ve been moving toward the new year, which means preparations for the 2026 farm season are coming soon, we’ve also been doing some physical (and emotional) moving! Moody Root Farm has officially relocated to the Northwoods and I’m very excited to finally be able to make this announcement....

They'll be selling pumpkins until 4/5 today!

KIDS PUMPKIN SALE SATURDAY 2-5pm!

These kiddos have been working hard this since April to grow their pumpkins. They learned how to seed, compost, broad fork, plant, w**d, harvest, and make an awesome sign this summer. This Saturday at the stand (unless it's pouring rain) they will be selling from 2-5pm. They may also have lemonade and hot chocolate to sell too! After this weekend you can come by the stand anytime and purchase with our honesty system box. All proceeds will go to these kids!

One last Friday to shop! Open 10-2.
