It is so sad that some people would rather blame inanimate objects than recognize that bad people do bad things, no matter what laws are in place.
For example, planes did not have a problem with hijackers until after fi****ms were banned on them, schools never had mass killings until after fi****ms were banned in them, bases never had mass killings until after fi****ms were banned on them. God gave us the freedom to choose good or evil and the only way to stop a predator is by putting fear in it that it could be hurt or killed, whether that predator be man or beast.

This is so important in our digital age! This article hits many of the tools we cover in the DPPDefense Predator Identification course. Knowledge is a powerful tool that could save a loved one's life.
764 When Online Evil Strikes: A True Story From A Family Who Wanted Us To Share Their Story This is a true story, shared by a family who wanted others to learn from their experience. Most people don't think of safety when pie comes up, unless they are trying to avoid getting one smashed in their face.
You might even look at me funny if I told you that more pie will make your world a lot safer and less painful, but it absolutely will if you practice daily what I am about to share with you.
Many in the CQB realm understand the tactical term "slicing the pie" when clearing a room, but this exact tool can help you increase your safety while navigating your everyday lives. Remember this common phrase from DPPDefense classes: Space is your friend. Space gives you time to react and respond to sudden threats or just gives you a moment to dodge someone who is staring at their phone.
For those of us who haven't yet mastered the art of X-ray vision to see around blind corners, we need to maintain space when passing intersecting hallways, store aisles, corridors, or even outdoor walls and fences. This simple habit is incredibly helpful to avoid walking head-on into another person. Even if they don't intend you any harm, anyone who has ever accidentally knocked heads with a stranger can tell you just how painful that awkward dance can be.
Giving yourself room also drastically reduces the chances of startling an animal that might default to attack mode when spooked, or worse, giving a perfect opportunity to someone who actually is planning an ambush.
The simple habit of deliberately giving an extra few feet of distance to each corner increases your response time, protects your personal bubble, and keeps you from doing an accidental forehead-smash tango with a coworker of fellow student.
Before you know it, taking the wide angle will become second nature.
