Great Clips - Reston VA

We are proud to work with the Fairfax County Police Department to raise awareness of Domestic Violence. Our efforts this month are focused on acquiring new and unopened beauty products to help victims and survivors.

On Friday, we learned more about this effort. "This is the first year we are doing this," wrote Saly Fayez, Fairfax County Police Department's Director of the Victim Services Division. "It came from a case where a victim of domestic violence asked if my advocate had any makeup because she didn’t want to go get her kids from school with bruises on her face once she left the hospital. Any support is truly appreciated."

I asked for immediate support from my network within the salons and through the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Businesses community. It was humbling to learn how many understood what this need was through their own personal experience.

So very proud of our team and their work these past three days to raise over $575 for Cindy's Legacy Charity. It was such a joy and privilege to work with Stacy Brooks. Her important work helps families fighting cancer, and honors the memory of her late mother, Cindy. Cindy was a hairstylist!
