The Key to Change

The Key to Change recently launched a violin studio, of the same name, in South King County which serves middle and high school students of color and economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Renton, Kent, Auburn, Maple Valley, and Federal Way neighborhoods. Quinton Morris opened the studio after returning from his 25-city BREAKTHROUGH World Tour, which paired chamber music recitals with educational outreach and community service in under-resourced communities around the globe. The Key to Change violin studio in South King County offers middle and high school students year-long access to world class, professional instruction for low cost. Students may register for private violin lessons or group violin classes. Private lessons are one-on-one lessons with the instructor, while group classes may have between four to six students working with the instructor at the same time. Key to Change violin students will:
* Take private or group violin lessons
* Participate in master classes taught by guest artists
* Receive weekly ensemble coachings
* Learn various styles of music
* Perform in quarterly recitals
* Attend a yearly workshop catered toward preparing for college auditions and applications

The Key to Change studio offers scholarships and financial aid.
