This is always a lot of spooky fun---ridin' around with Hank Monk after dark in the Lone Mountain Cemetery.....Take a ride with Hank Monk on his famous Stagecoach around Lone Mountain Cemetery for a night of spooky historical fun! We will be joined by Janice Oberding, Author of Haunted Nevada: Ghosts and Strange Phenomena of the Silver State, who will share her haunted knowledge of the cemetery.

This tour will take place upon the Friends of Silver Saddle Ranch Mule Wagon on a 1/2 mile journey. Dress for the weather and remember close-toed shoes. Choose one of four 30 minute tours happening on Friday the 18th. Only 10 spots are available per tour due to wagon capacity. Carson City has some cool history AND yes there is the Spooky side. Hope to see you all on Friday at 5:30 at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, Carson City

Spirited Capitol City Part 1 with Janice Oberding
September 27 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
$10
Carson City has a spooky history with spiritualists and ghostly activity. One medium named Mrs. Meyer was particularly well known for the séances she conducted at the Elsworth House, just a block east of the old train depot. During the hot August nights of 1881, these spiritual gatherings left residents both intrigued and unsettled by the ghostly phenomena reported.

Today, Carson City’s rich tapestry of spiritual legends, from the bride of Ferris Mansion to the haunting tales of the Governor’s Mansion and the Mint, continues to captivate those interested in the supernatural.

Join us for a fascinating deep dive into the history of Nevada séances, including how they were conducted and the ghost stories that followed. And if you’re feeling extra spooky, join us next month for a séance with paranormal historian Janice Oberding.
