We’re thrilled to highlight Brielle, one of our summer farm crew members!
She is a third-year student at the University pursuing a degree in environmental science. Since joining our team this spring, Brielle has quickly become a valued part of daily farm operations. This fall, she will continue her journey with us through our organic vegetable production academic internship.
“I especially value opportunities that involve outdoor, physically active work. I am eager to build skills in planting, irrigation management, harvesting and pest management,” Brielle shared.
Brielle also shared that she has greatly enjoyed her experience so far, with her favorite part being the opportunity to participate in the full crop production cycle. From seeding and transplanting to harvest and crop termination, she has gained a deeper understanding of the work that goes into producing food in Nevada.
Her enthusiasm for learning, strong work ethic and positive attitude have made a lasting impression on our team. Whether working in the field, assisting with harvests or supporting day-to-day farm activities, she is always eager to take on new challenges and build new skills.
We’re grateful to have Brielle on our team and look forward to supporting her continued growth this fall.

Mental Health Awareness Month may be coming to a close, but the commitment to wellbeing in agriculture continues year-round.
Through the Nevada Farm Network (NFN), we’re working to strengthen agricultural communities by improving access to ag wellness resources and support. Our curated resource library highlights tools focused on mental health, stress management and the unique challenges faced in farming.
Beyond resources, NFN is also a space for connection—bringing people together to share experiences, build community and support one another across Nevada.
Explore the resources, stay connected and continue the conversation—because wellbeing in agriculture is a shared effort, every month of the year.
