A new chapter is beginning for one of Reno's most recognizable shopping destinations.

The property that's now home to Reno Public Market has officially been sold for $19.3 million, ending more than 100 years of local ownership by the Casazza family. While Reno Public Market opened in 2023, the site has a long history in Reno—from the Casazza family ranch to Shoppers Square and now the city's popular food hall and retail hub.

The new owner is Connecticut-based AmCap, which purchased the property as part of a larger multistate retail portfolio. So far, there's been no announcement about any changes for Reno Public Market or its current tenants.
