Feeling grateful to work with an amazing organization called the Seattle Music Teachers Association. It's a great group of teachers who hold events and work on professional development. But they are also really wonderful human beings who laugh together and support each other too. If you're a music teacher you should check out one of SMTA's events! If your child consistently wants to quit, let them quit! It's not wasted effort or money even if they never play music again. But maybe they need new music, a new teacher, or to cut back on other activities. Leave the conversation open. There are so many things to try in life- childhood is a great time to see what is most interesting.
