What a delightful evening of DIY skincare!
Participants rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on creating their own nourishing goat milk lotion and natural lip balm from scratch. Guided by the wonderful Rebecca Saul of Glimfeather Farms, everyone learned the step-by-step process of crafting skincare products, explored the role of key ingredients, and gained confidence using the tools and techniques needed to make more at home.
From measuring and mixing to packaging and labeling finished products, attendees left with two handmade creations and a new appreciation for the art and science of natural skincare. Some chose to keep their products unscented, while others added a touch of lavender or orange essential oil to make them uniquely their own.
A big thank you to Rebecca Saul and Glimfeather Farms for sharing their expertise, passion for natural living, and love of teaching with our community.

What a morning of sawdust, safety, and first cuts!
This weekend, participants joined us for Chainsaw 101: Safety, Saws, and Your First Cut of Wood, where they traded curiosity (and maybe a little nervousness) for confidence and practical skills.
Under close supervision, attendees learned the essentials of chainsaw safety—from proper PPE and safe starting techniques to chain tensioning, sharpening, fueling, and routine maintenance. Then came the fun part: putting those skills into practice. Participants got hands-on experience making their first cuts, learning how to "read the fiber" of wood, spot grain patterns and knots, and better predict how wood behaves before the saw ever touches it.
There’s something deeply satisfying about learning a tool from the ground up, and by the end of the workshop, everyone left with a stronger understanding of how to operate a chainsaw safely and responsibly.
A big thank you to our partner Stump Regeneration for sharing their expertise and helping make this workshop such a valuable learning experience. 🌲
