While the typical primary flavors of this varietal are gooseberry, green melon, passionfruit, white peach, and grapefruit, every region has their own style, or wine “typicity.” France is the largest producer of Sauvignon Blanc, mostly being grown in the Loire Valley. Primary flavors of Sauvignon’s from this area are typically lime, green grass, chalky minerals, and honeydew melon with sharp acidity and a light body.
