🪶✨ Finding Feathers: A Sacred Sign at the Threshold of Birth 🪶✨

As an out-of-hospital midwife, each birth experience is a sacred journey filled with profound connections. On more than a few occasions I discovered a beautiful feather at the entrance of a home while entering the birth space—a reminder of the spiritual realms that guide us in the sacred dance of birth. 🕊️💖

Feathers symbolize hope, freedom, and the lightness of being. In many cultures, they are seen as messages from the divine, reminding us that we are not alone as we step into the transformative space of bringing new life into the world. As I prepare to support families on this incredible journey, I can’t help but feel the presence of those spiritual beings—God,angels, ancestors, and the spirits of the unborn—surrounding us.🙏✝️🕊️🌀🪬🪶✨

I’m back from an eight day “Flow Your Soma Wellness Retreat” in Hilo HI. 🌺
It was an incredible experience. After a week of Somatic Movement, Watsu, Breathwork, swimming in the ocean, singing to whales with some beautiful people 🐋🌊🩵My nervous system has reset and i’m feeling refreshed and beyond grateful 🙏💕
As a Midwife it’s important to plan opportunities like this to prevent burn out and fill my reserves so I can be at by best caring for others. 🙏✨💗

Been serving families for 6 years as a Midwife. This sweet family was one of my first to care for. I have supported them through different kinds of birth over the years. Kim felt so empowered after her 1st home birth with me that she chose to free birth as well. I have gotten to watch her family grow, I also had the honor of watching her transition and expand as a woman and has a mother. So much love and respect for you my dear friend.
