Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition characterized by excessive sweating in certain areas of the body, such as the armpits, palms, or feet. It can be embarrassing and interfere with daily activities. Many people suffer from excessive underarm sweating regardless of their body temperature. People with hyperhidrosis may present severe underarm sweating even when they are cold or stressed. Sometimes topical antiperspirants are not enough to combat axillary hyperhidrosis.

Injections of botulinum toxin (Botox) can be an effective treatment option for hyperhidrosis. Botox is injected into the underarms and blocks the signals from the nerves responsible for sweating, stopping the sweat glands from producing too much sweat.
