Pat and Sandy Watson: Sandwichery – Downtown Business of the Year

This matching husband-and-wife duo has been making the tallest and tastiest sandwiches in Downtown Redding for the past 40+ years.

Pat and Sandy have built their life together in this shop located on Tehama Street. As a patron, not only will you immediately recognize the love that these two have for each other, but also the love that they have for their business.

The walls are decorated with aviation, World War 2 history, historic photos of old Downtown, and articles of the duo’s success in the business. Always matching in either a Hawaiian shirt, bright-colored button-up, or matching ties, these two will make sure that your sandwich, chips, and LARGE cookie meal will satisfy your hunger and be made expeditiously for those lunch rushes.

Downtown Redding may have had many identities and transformations, but this classic business got it right the first time and continues to do so. Congrats, Pat and Sandy.
