The 6pm Mass at St Joseph.
As Father Eric said farewell at Sacred Heart Father Raj came to St Joe.

He acknowledged the transitions of our priests, our churches and each one of us individually..

Then Father Raj said from this weekends Gospel “ … do not be afraid…” Matthew 10: 26-33.

We told him we will pray for him this Father’s Day.

"My 75-year-old dad hasn't missed Sunday Mass in decades. Me? Not been back since high school graduation. For the first 18 years of my life, I was in his arms, sat on his lap, and beside him in those pews every week. This Father's Day weekend, I realized the best gift I could give him isn't wrapped in a box.

So this Sunday, I'm showing up at his door, and we're going to Mass together." JM

This is your sign to join your dad at Mass this weekend:
Saturday: St. Joseph Church | 6PM and St. Michael Church | 4 PM
Sunday: St. Joseph Church | 9&11 AM and St. Michael Church | 1 PM

"If your eye is sound, your whole body will be filled with light"

When we keep our eyes fixed on what is good, true, and holy, that light shines through us. Pretty much looks like this photo.

Life-sized Jesus statue pulled from cross, broken and desecrated at Redding church 06/18/2026

You have surely seen the heartbreaking vandalism over at Our Lady Of Mercy Church - if not click the link below to see the recently featured news segment on KRCR News Channel 7

But we do not answer darkness with silence. We answer it with prayer, community, and faith.

Following the shocking desecration of our outdoor crucifix, Our Lady of Mercy Parish invites the entire community to stand together. We are offering two Masses of Reparation on Friday, June 19, at 7:30 AM (English) and 6:30 PM (Spanish).

In the Catholic tradition, a Mass of Reparation is our way of making amends for offenses against God and His sacred places. Instead of anger, we choose the Cross. We are coming together to pray for healing, the conversion of hearts, and the renewal of our parish.

This Month of the Sacred Heart, let’s fill the pews. Bring your family, stand with your neighbors, and let’s reaffirm our love for Jesus Christ. See you there.

From Fr. Eric:

This coming Saturday, June 20th, Fr. Raj Derivera and I will be swapping pulpits and altars. I will be celebrating the 4:30 PM Mass at Sacred Heart Parish, Anderson, and Fr. Raj will celebrate the 6 PM Mass at St. Joseph.

As many of you know, both of us will be leaving the Shasta Deanery effective July 1st. If you are able to attend the 6 PM Mass this Saturday, please join us in wishing Fr. Raj well as he moves on to further his studies at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

On a personal note, I am deeply honored and grateful to Fr. Raj for allowing me to celebrate this Saturday's 4:30 PM Mass at Sacred Heart. This will be my special way of saying thank you to the Sacred Heart Parish community for being such a wonderful part of my 33 years as an active priest for the Diocese of Sacramento , as I prepare to enter retirement on July 1st.
