✨ Jesse Stavola ✨

We are proud to honor Jesse Stavola with the Heart of the Community Award for his generosity, community spirit, and longstanding support of CPC’s mission. Time and again, Jesse has opened both his heart and his beautiful venue, Driftwood Cabana Club, to CPC—generously hosting successful fundraising events, and helping to create meaningful experiences — like the Annual Beach Volleyball Fundraiser— which brings our community together in such a memorable way. This year, Jesse’s generosity continues with the donation of a cabana for the very exciting Cabana Raffle! Driftwood Tiki Bar

Pete Bellew has been a dedicated CPC staff member working in our Facilities and Maintenance Department for 25 years. Growing up in Harlem, The Bronx, and later Matawan alongside his three brothers and sister, Pete has a lifetime of layered stories that could fill a novel. On the topic of men’s mental health, Pete has a story to tell if you are ever lucky enough to stop and listen. And if you already know Pete, then you probably already know of his commitment to mental health and the well-being of our nation’s veterans. Pete’s passion is personal. His brother Michael proudly served our country during the Vietnam War, and returning home years later, the long-term effects of Agent Orange, combined with the stresses of war, sadly eventually took their toll. In honor of his brother’s memory and service, Pete creates handcrafted guitars out of cigar boxes and then donates the pieces to charitable causes throughout our community. Pictured here is his latest creation being donated to The Tunnels To Towers Foundation.

This Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, Pete reminds us that healing can take many forms—through conversation, creativity, service to others, and honoring those we love. Thank you, Pete, for sharing your story.
