empowering our communities. We are a mixed group of representatives of our Latino communities, DACA recipients and first generations to be raised in the U.S. We have felt first hand the segregation that can occur from language, status and low education barriers. Awaken is now run by our founder who believes everyone deserves a voice. Made up of all volunteers, we believe that no matter where you come from or what your skin color is, we all deserve to be treated with human decency. Documented or undocumented, immigrants are what make our country thrive. Therefore, by working as the voices of our immigrant communities we hope to inspire those living in the shadows to fight for what we deserve. We want to educate, advocate and form allies with other communities to empower those who are living in fear. Join our fight for immigrant rights!
