I started playing a version of this during solo sets and cut the track with on a snowy Sunday evening in January. Doug produced/mixed/mastered this and played a whole lot of e-bow on it.

Today we are releasing 2 years of work we compiled into an LP. I started Highland Cinema about 2 years ago with the main intention of releasing a full body of work. I didn’t realize it would take 2 years until we started the writing and recording process while working full time and raising babies. So the songs started to get done and we started releasing them as they came instead of waiting 2 years to get this project started.
Playing live or community was never really a thought as there were only 2 of us putting these tracks together until some very kind and amazing local musicians invited us to play some shows. Meeting, collaborating, and working with the local musicians in and around the Asbury scene has been the most rewarding part of this whole process. Going to local shows and being able to catch up and hang with friendly faces who love music as much as I do is everything.
None of this gets started without Vin, my musical partner, drummer, and friend for 25 years (yeah we old). I’ll send him countless crappy demos and he is always encouraging me to finish and thinks I have something there. That’s how this started, with one crappy demo he encouraged me to finish.
If you have been following our music the past 2 years, you will have heard most of these songs but track 1 is brand new and the most special to me. Give the LP a listen front to back as we put a bow on 2 years of work.
