🩺 Dr. Reid is a naturopathic physician with advanced training in Ayurveda and integrative oncology support.
🧠 Her clinical interests include thyroid and endocrine health, metabolic wellness, weight management, emotional wellness, and supporting individuals undergoing cancer care.
🇯🇲 Originally from Jamaica, Dr. Reid’s passion for naturopathic medicine was shaped by traditional healing practices and a lifelong appreciation for nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and the body’s innate ability to heal. She earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Health Sciences and completed advanced residency training in Washington under Dr. Virender Sodhi, ND, Ayurved.
🤝 Dr. Reid takes a collaborative, root-cause approach to care, creating personalized wellness plans that may incorporate nutrition, movement, botanical medicine, supplements, breathing techniques, and Ayurvedic principles. Clients can expect thoughtful, individualized support focused on education, empowerment, and sustainable health improvements.

📚 In this talk, we’ll explore how the body becomes the first messenger of burnout – through tension, exhaustion, resentment, anxiety, or shut down – and how these signals are invitations to rebuild differently.
🏡 Using a practical and embodied metaphor of your inner world as a home, we’ll understand boundaries as protection (doors, locks, walls) and self compassion as restoration (rooms, light, windows, foundation). You’ll learn how to listen to your nervous system as your internal alarm system, practice simple discernment to shift self-sacrifice to self-loyalty, and develop clear grounded, boundary language that supports inner stability.
💗 Along with the educational portion of the talk, Alyssa will incorporate guided exercise exercises that allow participants to explore the concepts internally and at their own pace. The event is informational and reflective, no one will be asked to share!
