The Bridge Fellowship

mental in opening a Southern Baptist church in Berks County. Today, there are approx. 200 people who consider the Bridge their place of worship. Through divine appointments, our church met as one body for the first time on May 4, 1971 as a home fellowship. Pastor Pat Brock led this new group of seven adults and 4 children. By September Berkshire Baptist Church (its original name) grew to about 30 people and began sharing a church building with another congregation. In January 1976 our church permanently settled on this site, the former Yocum Elementary School, and again the congregation grew. A new sanctuary with additional classroom space and kitchen was added in 1994, and it comprises our current campus. It's almost 4 years since our church's name was changed from Berkshire Baptist Church to the Bridge Fellowship to attract and unify the diversity of people seeking to make Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior. In essential beliefs--we have unity.

In non-essential beliefs--we have liberty.
